This painting is one of fifteen illustrations for an upcoming children's book called
"Me and the Redbird River", written by Carla Gover. The book will be published later this year by the University of Kentucky press.
I grew up in east Tennessee and for the past 43 years have lived in eastern Kentucky. Through my art I have been recording Appalachian life and culture for over 50 years.
